From Peanut to Peanut Butter

By Robin Nelson

This is one in an excellent series of books depicting the various plant and animal sources of food and fiber. As an early reader book, the content is minimal but fairly accurate. Each page has one to five sentences. This is one of the best books in the series, and while it does not show the peanuts growing underground, it does depict the whole plant with the peanuts attached at the roots, harvesting, sorting, roasting, and peanut butter making. The book ends with a glossary.
