What is Sustainable Agriculture?
Our new lesson plans for grades 9-12 help students explore what "sustainable agriculture" looks like!
Sustainable Agriculture Lesson Plans are available here. There are 5 lessons, each one has a downloadable PDF and PowerPoint as well as an online learning component with videos and extra resources.
The 5 Lessons, which include an online interactive component, address:

- The Necessity of Food
Sustainability has been a hot topic in agriculture for a few years now. To help students better understand the relationship between sustainability and agriculture the Foundation has created free online lessons for grades 9-12.
The lessons were developed to assist educators increase students’ knowledge about the social, economic, environmental and production components of sustainable farming and ranching in the 21st century. At the end of each lesson, students will complete an online learning experience that corresponds with the respective lesson plan.
