Agriculture and the Environment

These middle school lessons have been specifically updated to make them easier to use (and print by making them black and white)! We have rewritten them using the effective Understanding by Design® (Wiggins and McTighe) method of instruction. 

Inside you’ll find six engaging lessons; each made up of a teacher’s guide, background information for the student and student engagement sheets. Specific topics include:

This resource was designed to engage middle school students in discovery and exploration of topics related to agriculture and natural resources. To extend learning with older students, we encourage you to check out the high school Sustainable Agriculture lessons.
