From Maple Trees to Maple Syrup
By Kristin Thoennes Keller
This is in an excellent series of books depicting the various plant and animal sources of food and fibers from plants and animals. As an early reader book, the content is short but reasonably accurate. Each page has one to five sentences. Unlike the next book on the list, this book depicts both a bucket and a modern collection of sap. It does a very complete description from tree to consumer. The book ends with a glossary, recipe, and recommended Internet sites.
