Farm Crops
By Lynn M. Stone

This book provides a nice overview of crops produced on farms. The text is enhanced with excellent photographs of modern farming images. While the Jersey cow grazing clover could be improved from a conformational perspective, she could not look more contented, standing knee-deep in clover with her eyes closed as she munches on a mouth crammed full of clover. The one major error is a photo labeled as Montana hay that is clearly straw. However, this is more than made up for by an image of dwarf-apple trees and a picker harvesting with the proper equipment. The author does a nice job of depicting and explaining the regional differences in crop production and why they occur.
